Today we spoke with Executive Coach Mariette Edwards of Star Maker Coaching and her client Kim Gay, founder and CEO of MATCH Healthcare Consulting, who talk about how Kim and Mariette work together to achieve Kim’s business objectives. They discuss how pitch strategies have landed Kim key interviews for her upcoming book on ethics, positioned her for important speaking opportunities and laid the foundation for her new business initiatives.
Mariette Edwards
Mariette Edwards is an executive coach with an insider’s perspective on how businesses make people decisions. A Fortune 500 Human Resources executive for more than twenty years in NYC and Atlanta, Mariette spent eight years in hands-on small business leadership roles before starting her coaching practice in 1996. Featured in “Make A Name For Yourself” by Robin Fisher Roffer, “Wired for Creativity” by Candace Long and “201 Best Questions To Ask On Your Interview” by John Kador, Mariette’s articles on business and career strategies have appeared in print and on line around the world. Kim Gay
Kim Gay is a healthcare industry expert with more than twenty years experience as a successful entrepreneur, business owner and supplier to the Healthcare community. Founder and CEO of MATCH Healthcare Consulting, Kim knows first-hand the issues healthcare leaders face and what their managers need to achieve a sustainable fututre. Appointed to the Board of Directors of the Department of Community Health (Medicaid) by Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue in 2005, Kim is the Chair of the Care Managmeent Committee. A graduate of Georgia College and State University, Kim has taken advanced courses in healthcare strategy at the Harvard School of Public Health and business strategy at the Goizuetta Business School at Emory University. She has earned certificates in the Prosci system for Change Management and in Leadership and Ethics from the Leadership Forum of the Siegel Institute for Leadership, Ethics and Character at Kennesaw State University. Kim has also completed advanced business leadership and marketing courses at Georgia State University and the Georgia Institute of Technology. She is currently working on a book on ethics in business titled “After the Fall: Resurrection After an Ethical Nosedive”.
